Hi there,

You might have seen my Jo thread in the main forum but I thought I'd do a little introduction here as well.

I'm a blue, albeit a lighter shade! I live in Failsworth, north East Manchester (I can hear the boos already) and am lucky enough to have our stadium within walking distance. When you hear of fans travelling from all over, you take for granted how easy you have it.

I came here primarily to discuss Jo and his loan move but I like the look of the place and plan on sticking around- it's always good to hear an unbiased view because on the City forums and in the pub obviously we've all got our blue tinted specs on.

Peace,

Col

Hello lad . Used to go to Failsworth on a Sunday nght when I was staying in Manchester 89 . It was full of totty as I recall . As for being unbiased about City , you've no worries there kid . You're worse than we are , and Shauny shouldve came to us !! Apart from that , enjoy the Forum . Come on the 'ton !! L.C.A.B. (y)

Whoever said we're turning into our red neighbours, I don't hear thousands of cockney accent at our place on matchday so I don't think we're quite that bad yet.

Fair point, but I meant the general 'Hughes out he's not good enough for us we deserve Mourinho' kind of thing.

Mate, fans are disappointed with Hughes because he's taken a side that finished 9th last season, sprinkled it with £110million worth of talent and somehow we're languishing five points off the relegation zone. You also have to appreciate that he's a scum legend, it's hard for us to accept him into our beloved club.

Let's put it into perspective- Moyes gives Everton a 5th placed finish this season. Off he goes. In comes Kenny Dalglish and if things aren't bad enough just him being there in the first place, he consistently ****s up tactically and you find the great form of your previous season replaced with defeat after defeat.

A lot of us are still seething about Sven's departure. He was told to finish in the top ten. Not only that, he gave us a 9th placed finish, our best home record for years, our first derby double for 41 years and some excellent football on top of that. I for one can't understand why he's been sacked- he made some brilliant signings on a relatively low budget, I mean Petrov at £4million is a bloody snip.

But moaning that we want Mourinho? None of the blues here would want him at all, SWP is our hero, we worship the ground he walks on and inevitably Mourinho would ship him off at the first opportunity. I'd rather not sit through that stale [Poor language removed] he puts on either.

Well i dont think Hughes is the right man for your club. Not now, maybe before all the money, he could have done a decent job. Mourinho is an wonderful manager and its clear for you to progress you need somebody of his pedigree.

Hi Col, I've always had a soft spot for City, maybe because of Joe Mercer as me Dad played for the A, & B Everton teams when Joe played for Everton, and always said what a great man he was when he bumped into him at training.(y) and I think it's I remember the Lee bummed Bell, Bell bummed Lee, caught VD like Summerbee days aswell:D Just think mate a few years ago your derby games was Stockport, Oldham and Bury:blink: Now your the richest club in the world playing United again:o respect. Anyway welcome to our forum, I'm a new comer as well,

Pineapple on pizza is an absolute must- Crispy bacon, mushrooms and pineapple every time for me.

I hate to do this, but pasties- no. I can't stand them. :(

And he isnt banned?

I thought Failsworth was near enough in Oldham, must be along walk to the ground!!

Ashton road east side of town mate, walking distance to Eastlands and Oldham town centre takes longer to get to than Manchester. We're right on the edge, Failsworth is the last town in the manchester city postal code, in fact I could have one foot in M35 and one foot in OL1.

I have fond memories....going to Sonic Boom on lunch breaks and spending the remainder of the lunch money. Always enjoyed playing Failsworth at the footy, and if I recall, that school had the astroturf. First time I ever played up-front and bagged two goals.

Ahh, those were the days.....
