It was someone on GOT.Some absolute t^@t$ around, isn't there?
Hope you get it sorted.
Could be worth posting the contact ID of where you found this fella (twitter? Here?) in the tickets thread so others don't fall for it.

That's properly grim.It was someone on GOT.
WhatsApp has been dead all morning.I was messaging this lad on WhatsApp about tickets. He posted a photo which I clicked on to see it. After that I can’t access messages on WhatsApp and got that email.
Name names...It was someone on GOT.
It's great. Miserable drongoI hate Whats App. Refuse to use it
Just a thought before you start chucking people under the bus, are you 100% sure they are both connected? It was someone on GOT.
Agree. From what I've read it looks quite probable that the chat on Whatsapp had nothing to do with the email.Just a thought before you start chucking people under the bus, are you 100% sure they are both connected?
Don’t take this the wrong way, you don’t seem to be the most tech savvy person around, just saying. It’s a big leap to suggest just chatting to someone on WhatsApp has resulted in you getting a blah email from Apple scammers.

Sorry mate. Not naming names yet. You’re right about me not being tech savvy.Just a thought before you start chucking people under the bus, are you 100% sure they are both connected?

I’m airing with this one. Did you click on a link in the WhatsApp message or just the message itself? For a WhatsApp DM to contain embedded malware is quite rare.Agree. From what I've read it looks quite probable that the chat on Whatsapp had nothing to do with the email.
I paid £60 for tickets a week ago. I clicked on a photo that he sent me. It wouldn’t download. Received the email a minute later. He tells me that Bournemouth tickets haven’t gone on sale yet.I’m airing with this one. Did you click on a link in the WhatsApp message or just the message itself? In fact, it’d need some relatively expensive tools, which means a random person on GOT is very, very unlikely to be the target. It’s probably coincidence.
Report the email, delete it and I wouldn’t worry as unless you’ve provided bank details and whatnot you’re probably more than safe.
To be fair, scammers are getting quite clever with the emails they send out these days.Sorry mate. Not naming names yet. You’re right about me not being tech savvy.
Your far more benevolent than I am.I’m airing with this one. Did you click on a link in the WhatsApp message or just the message itself? For a WhatsApp DM to contain embedded malware is quite rare.

Also, unless you provided the person with your email I sincerely doubt it’s them.
It’s sold out, so he’s lying there. Was the image sent today as to be fair WhatsApp has had a major outage this morning, which would impact.I paid £60 for tickets a week ago.
