Henry Onyekuru

Sad day when a true legend leaves this football club.

Never missed a shot , never shirked a tackle and never gave less than 100% for the blue shirt.

I demand a statue outside for this living hero

Im not trying to be alarmist but I really feel like a lot of these fees are way too little. There are pretty well regarded youngsters at a time where stupid money is being thrown around everywhere and I don't feel like we really are getting what the market seems to be lately.

Oh he’s gone has he? Bit of a shame seeing as we were all excited when he signed. Still he was never going to play so probably best for all parties.

Good business model this. Sign the boss Africans who are never getting a work permit, loan them out to good teams for a couple of years and then sell at a profit.

Genius.

In all seriousness, the only way we were going to lose out on this one was if he eventually got a WP and was rubbish for us. Failing that we were either selling him for a profit or he was going to play for us. Either outcome is fine, and I'd be fine if we carried on doing this sort of thing.

I know he's not very popular round these parts but I'll mention this anyway. Just read on twitter from 'the esk' that Onyekuru was never Intended to play for us. He was part of our new model of player trading whereby we buy abroad, then loan out with intention of making a few million profit down the line. This is similar to Chelsea's much larger enterprise. The Esk states that this new model is essential for us because we are so poor at generating commercial revenues.

Not sure whether to believe this but nonetheless is a talking point

Wasn’t Onyekuru bought under an entirely different regime at the club?

I suspect he’s talking wham again.
