Work permit. I'm guessing he needs mins on pitch so I'm sure Everton have pressed upon Anderlecht to play him which can only benefit us & his permit situation. Wait a year & hopefully we have a player who either wants to crack on or join Anderlecht, kick up a massive fume then we sell him on for a profit with a huge sell on clause inserted.

This is very football manager BUT;

I'm sure in Belgium its only 2 or 3 years before you can apply for citizenship, meaning he would then not need a work permit for us.

Assuming he has played their for a year or two, this could be the reason?

Just been unveiled in our new home kit, promises to "hoover up" goals.

Tbh I don't know. From what I'm seeing of the guy he's worth a chance in the 1st team so the loan must have reason.

Weren't we linked with Dendoncker from Anderlecht a couple of weeks ago? Could us loaning Onyekuru be a sweetener? 2 + 2 = 22 and all that

Could definitely see it being beneficial for him to go out to Belgium right away and play some top European football in the CL. He'll come back here full of confidence surely, especially if he nets a few goals over the season.

If Anderlecht drop down to the E.L. then ironically his first game at G.P. could potentially be against us.

I guess he'd play the exact same role as Lookman in the squad this season, so let him ply his trade for another year in Belgium while Lookman (maybe?) cements his place in the first team, then when Onyekuru comes here in a year and a half, Lookman is a starter and Onyekuru is a sub.
