Y’all is used both singular and plural. Depends on context. When used as a plural, it may or may not include everybody. All y’all is definitely everybody.

So if I was to tell y’all to stop being arsehats that is mainly directed at the folks currently being arsehats. If I use all y’all that means those currently participating in the arsehattery and all bystanders.

I always thought it was formal and informal. Like when your mom throws in your middle name, when @RAFUH brings in the "all y'all" then you know someone is in trouble.

You might already know this, but the stupid NBA let them keep the name when they moved from New Orleans. They actually used to be the New Orleans Jazz, and their star player was former LSU great Pistol Pete Maravich. New Orleans now has the Pelicans (appropriate, but not nearly as cool).

How did you become an Evertonian?: the first football match I ever saw on TV was an Everton match and I am certain of it. In the United States, we were unable to watch the Premier League until 2001. Approximately November or December 2002 or 2003, I remember flipping through the channels and I saw “soccer” on Fox Sports tv. What instantly struck me was the camera angle looking down on the “field” and how i could see the rain droplets hitting the players thinking “who plays in this kind of weather?” Well little did I know, I was watching an Everton match at Goodison Park. Still to this day I cannot figure out which date & opponent that was. I’ve gone through the archives and left with more questions.

Your all-time favourite Everton player?: Wayne Rooney

Your current favourite player?: Jordan Pickford / DCL

Welcome! I lived in New Orleans for a few months, and if you haven't already checked it out, Finn McCool's Pub in Mid City is a fantastic spot to watch Everton matches. Jeffrey the bartender is a Blue, and a great guy named Adrian, who is from Liverpool, is almost always there. There are a few others who sometimes show up, and Jules the bartender is awesome, even though she's a red. Enjoy NOLA, and make sure you don't gain too much weight from that delicious food!
