I would like to introduce myself to you all. The username says it all really, my name is chris and I support (Manchester) City.

Not here to take the piss or disrupt, but I do enjoy the banter with other football fans and like other fans opinions on my club.

I have followed City for 34 years (season ticket holder all those years) been to 83 different grounds in England and 11 different countries in my quest to see City win something. (Hopefully we are nearly there).

Have a lot of time for fans like yourselves who follow there team through thin and thinner but still get behind them.

There are only 3 clubs I can't stand; Rags for obvious reasons, Millwall, they are just animals and Spurs, still havent forgiven them for breaking my heart in '81 cup final.

Look forward to posting more on this site and hope you are gentle with me.

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the forum mate, hope you have some fun here. It's the gay capital of the world.

Also, i've predicted either a 0-0 or 1-1 for Monday, coz although Everton are shockingly crap at the moment, somehow we will blag a point.

Are you enjoing the good times at city at the moment????

Cheers muggins,

Monday should be a good game and a good test for City, we will see how far we have come since last season when you beat us comprehensively twice. I am an eternal optimist so I am going for 2-1 City, but I am certainly not that confident at the moment with this Tevez saga hanging over our heads.

As for enjoying it atm, it has three sides to it.

The good transfer windows are mad (sometimes embarrasing) , the chance of actually seeing a silver pot being held aloft and the fact we dont seem to lose that often any more are all good sides

The bad is the way we are now being percieved by other supporters, away games aren't the same any more, the banter has sometimes gone to all out hatred, yet the fans are the same.

The ugly is the press and the attention always seems to be very negative. People who don't know what the football club is doing on a daily basis but will highlight anything that is trivial akin to Hitler invading Norway.

I guess, if we start winning things on a regular basis then the situation will change, but all things considered I am enjoying the rollercoaster that is Manchester City.

Thats a good well balanced insight mate. My cousin and uncle are city fans, and they said to me, "it doesn't matter how much it costs us, who we signed, who we lost, how we did it...If city lift silverware it's down in history and the captain, whoever that may be, will be wearing a city shirt with a city badge, and lifting it to the city fans...."

I thought fair play.

Welcome. It is the Gay capital of the world with Chico as the leader.

Nice to see my tagline's catching on. I'm also intrigued to learn my own position on the flamboyance hierarchy, knowing azul es numero uno.

Oh yeah, and welcome.

Yes, welcome aboard - my dad is a City man too. And for the record, I'm the token heterosexual on here.

Thanks for the welcome mate,

Can I also make this clear, I probably dislike bluemoon as much as you do. I find its full of kids who just repeat themselves time and again. They have 4 or 5 decent posters but once you have waded through all the [Poor language removed] its bedtime. I said earlier when asked about our fortunes at the mo, that one of the poorer things is that when I go away the banter isn't the same with opposition fans, I actually put a lot of that down to Bluemoon posters.

I post on another City forum, which has lot more fairminded and intelligent posters, but is nowhere near as popular (deliberately) as bluemoon. Please dont judge all City fans from bluemong, cheers.

Just for the record, I am in touch with my feminine side, but am heterosexual.

ps that pink kit is truly awful

Fair play, mate.

And yes, the pink kit is embarrassing. That said, the third (vanilla) kit is one of the best I've ever seen.
