I say this fully recognizing that swaps never happen, but seeing as how we actually signed James.....well maybe anything can happen. (Note I would also hate to lose Kean)

What if Kean really wants to go back to Italy and is making a nuisance of himself. Napoli like him and we swap him for Lozano. Then we go buy Maxi Gomex for ~13m.

Will it happen, no. Have stranger things happened, yes.

Why does this make sense though? And yes, I don’t think anything like this will happen either but...I would LOVE something like this to happen (and I like Kean)

If the press is making noise about Kean wanting to go back and there’s truth in it, I’d be pushing this on Napoli.

But if you also believe Dortmund are sniffing around, I’d be looking at all the developed talent they’ve brought through and thinking how we can get the best out of Kean.

So many maybes and nothing solid mind.

After a disappointing season I don’t think you can discount the players former (close) association with Brands. Add that he also played under Ancelotti, and it’s conceivable the player may be lobbying hard for this move.

After a disappointing season I don’t think you can discount the players former (close) association with Brands. Add that he also played under Ancelotti, and it’s conceivable the player may be lobbying hard for this move.

Napoli are very hard to deal with though. Even Ancelotti mentioned it in his interview about Allan.
