I see two small stars, either side of the badge, one with FM 1888 under it and one with FM 1992...Everton were a founder member of the Football League. I always think those clubs should be more recognised, perhaps they should always be allowed to wear their home kits or have a unique insignia on their shirt.
But that would mean acknowledging that football wasn't invented in 1992!...Everton were a founder member of the Football League. I always think those clubs should be more recognised, perhaps they should always be allowed to wear their home kits or have a unique insignia on their shirt.
Can't imagine what that must have been like, the 62 and a half v Inter Milan was "difficult" enough. In season 1948/49 Everton had their record crowd - 78,229 at Goodison Park. I know this because I was there! Not a lot of elbow room that day.
What... so Alan Shearer isn't the all time goal scorer in the top flight of the English division? Also, not even the most hat-tricks? PL titles are worth more as well? But that would mean acknowledging that football wasn't invented in 1992!
The TV show Foyle's War had an episode based on it.More men died during Exercise Tiger, the practice for the landings on Utah Beach during D-Day on Slapton Sands, than the actual landings on the beach.
During April 1944, the first practice was ruined by a confusion in communication which meant the troops participating life-fire exercise were mistakenly shelled.
The next day, a group of landing ships were ambushed by a flotilla of German E-Boats meaning nearly 750 servicemen died, adding to the sizeable original list.
