They really are embarrassing defenders. Even if they pop up with a good game here and there (Keane last time out) the mentality by both is just awful. Think they rubbed off on Godfrey if I’m being honest. I thought he had decent defending instincts and a strong mentality when he first had a run of games last season. But everything has evaporated for him. I want to see Branthwaite but I also worry this period and lot he’d play with might ruin him. Imagine having Pickford screaming nonsense and throwing a fit behind you and Keane walking away with his head down just giving up after a goal. Would be enough to ruin the best defender. I hate this lot.
Godfrey was awful too. You cant list 2 of them without listing all 3
