Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

Too right mate.

Another terrible decision by that moaning bellend.

Hey, hang on Dave.

Schneiderlin goes in as the experienced pro in that situation to take a young lad away from trouble.

That is EXACTLY what he should have been doing.

We can slate Schneiderlin for a lot of things this season, but that isn't one of them. It was the right thing to do.

Agree totally with that, otherwise could, have been looking at an even bigger mess

I'm glad he's not made a snap call on this.

He's left it to the FA to deal with. It's on them now. We can't say for definite what happened and both clubs have dealt with it well so far.
You're right imo mate.

The referee was bloody woeful last night, but he dealt with that situation well... Holgate could easily have got a yellow or even red card for his push on Firmino, and Firmino probably should have got a yellow for his reaction.

Leave it to the FA to ban all our players for 9 games and award them 67 billion pounds compensation.

Yeah, he was right there!

At the same time I can't help but think if it was said and Kenny heard if you'd imagine he would've become very confrontational and fierce himself.

Hope this isn't taken the wrong way, but I doubt any white player would have reacted the same way as Holgate. The N-word is a colour-specific slur and while we Caucasians can and should deplore its usage, it doesn't impact us in anywhere near the same way.

So we're all in the hope that the ref didn't book either player for the incident because he didn't want anything interfering with the FA investigation?

We and I will [Poor language removed] off LFC over this, but his behaviour is appalling. A lad has suffered a racist assault and he's busy having a go at him. Awful.

1. We don’t know if he suffered racist abuse, saying he did is just as bad as kopites saying he didn’t... none of us have a clue.

2. You are assuming he heard the alleged racist abuse. Even if he did he did the right thing trying to get Mason away from the scene.

3. Your post is utterly ridiculous.

definitely, it's way way over the top to start suggesting schniederlin is advocating racism, or is any way doing anything other that trying Holgate, he was second on the scene, his captain who was closer was 7th, if it had been one of our top performers no one would be calling it, but because he's had a poor season he's fair game for all sorts, we need to be very careful here

Just to be clear I got a bit carried away before it's not all reds I have some good mates who are reds who would never behave that way. And yes all clubs have dodgy internet warriors but going after Mason(and Evra before him) when he's just reported alleged abuse is weapon like. As is saying Firminho is totally guilty/innocent when we don't know. Hope we get to the bottom of what happened here. End the day racism and abuse ain't on whoever's kit they are wearing.
