[Noisy noise annoys]

I have no idea what's going on but I do have Sonos speakers

I fell out with my sonos when it kept unsynching. I have opted for in ceiling/wall speakers controlled from a central streaming system and controlled off phones and a touch screen - just need to actually understand it now. The idea was to bring my house up to date but ended up making me a luddite.

I have a hive to control an inaccessible plug upstairs for a printer and another controlling a valve amp in the hifi (the rest of the hifi stays on permenantly as it sounds better that way and doesn't use much). Other than that the hive is useful to remotely turn the heating down after the missus has turned it up again.

Be arsed with anything else.

I do often think it is just an added complication I mean, who needs to turn their lights off/on when they are not there????

Any one got any experience.
I have done my classic "wait until the day the electricians turn up at your house before deciding which HA system you want"

I need to know which system is best for lighting, audio, tv, heating etc. My budget has been absolutely smashed by the house build costs though. Then I need decent HDMI - lots of and speaker wire

Any resident installers on GOT?

Yes, still want hard wired tv.s etc - less prone to buffering on some dodgy stream

tbh, I think you've coqued up leaving it up till now, all those 'wires' should've gone in with your 240v and lighting stuff before the plaster board went up...if it has that is

You’re right in a sense however, we are still at first fix stage
