Never done it myself. Tried a few made by others. Some ok but some flat horrible ones I've drank out of pure politeness

Can't drink mate diabetic....... alcohol turns to sugar .,..,.I have the odd G&T with ice over the festive season ;)
Vodka has zero carbs, my wife is type 1 and the doctor told her that if she is to drink then have vodka but he wouldn't recommend any drinking.

Been brewing IPA kits for a few years now. I play around with various hops, favouring the cutrussy ones. Great fun and very satisfying, although the bottling is real faff which I don't enjoy.

I use a wallpaper steamer to sterilise my brewing vat, and the same steamer to sterilise 12 bottles at a time via a bottle tree I made out of 8mm copper pipe. Saves a lot of washing, sterilising fluid and water.

50p a pint for non pasteurised beer compares favourably with the £4.20 at the local - though its still nice to go there occasionally for variety.
