Horrible covers of otherwise acceptable songs

Am at the brewery and the most idiotic cover of the song "The sound of silence" came on over the sound system. A bunch of roid-ed out turds who clearly masturbate in front of mirrors and go by the name of "Disturbed" covered it. It is such unlistenable pompous guff I want to punch several kittens in the ear. Take a listen below if you dare...and please add your own horrible cover of an otherwise acceptable song.

When I first saw this some tears back I was outraged anybody would dare cover one of my favourite songs. I clicked to listen, expecting to hate it. I was surprised out of my skin how much i loved it. The ominous rising power of the singer's voice, the control, the menace ... by the end of the song I had goosebumps.

So in the best traditions of people disagreeing in the GOT .... bed!

Consensus seems to be that its a decent cover @verreauxi. Maybe YOU'RE the problem

I am definitely a problem. I usually stay up long nights having to deal with myself. The song, however, is an abomination of all that is holy and could only be improved if there were a few well-placed slide whistle sounds, and a coda of sad trombone and kazoo. Maybe the chorus could have a few donkey brays as well.

totally and absolutely completely agree.

he wrecks one of the greatest ever songs/

listen to Paul and Art on the original , every word makes sense.

It’s a good topic for a thread. This was the first thought that came to mind for me:

Arghhhhhh, his cover of Common People is possibly the greatest atrocity ever committed by man.

I dont know how, but this came up on my feed when I clicked 1 direction, so I can only thank them for that.

1988, sigh, take me back!

Baby I Don't Care was one of the first songs I ever bought (7" I think)!
