Was told to back Hyland for the GN. Was 33s now down to 14/1. Got a small e/w at 22s.

Got hyland in the work sweepstake today. I usually get 100/1 shots so hopefully this one is in with a chance.

I did Eggs but only got 33-1. Sky Bet is crap but I have little choice. Because they don't like the way I bet, which is little and infrequent, they've taken away all my benefits and seemingly blacklisted me elsewhere because I've been refused accounts with 2 other companies. I stopped at 2 because presumably there's a central database that stores this information and I didn't want to make it worse.. I used to bet whenever the racing was on telly but I rarely do these days. The odds offered to me are always about 25% worse than that shown on TV and invariably the odds change (for the worse) when I highlight the horse to bet. It's shocking really, but i only do £1 bets for a bit of fun unless I'm actually at the racecourse, so I don't let myself get worked up about it.

….i take it as a mark of success when Sky limit you, I’m allowed 20p with them even though I’m not a big stakes punter. I did take them for a good bit a few years ago at Cheltenham and they haven’t forgotten.

From my experience, it hasn’t impacted my a/c with other firms, might be worth trying 365, PP/BFSB. New customer offers are usually decent.

In all seriousness, I wouldn’t be seen anywhere near the place either, and on a personal note I think national hunt racing and these posh nob events with all the jumps and water features are brutal for horse welfare.

….for anybody attending Aintree on Friday, Battle Born Lad @ 14-1 could be worth a small e/w ante-post risk. Low profile trainer and the horse has a few quirks but he’s very talented. I could see him going off in single figures if he turns up.

….clearly more than a few quirks, he’s an absolute nut case
