i've got this on little lads d.s. lite, you can basically put yourself in any team, ive got howard, cahill, ronaldinio and me, its a bit like the nike ad in a cage with satans son as ref, i cant get the hang of it but the little lad (age 5) is unbelievable on it, beats all comers and the skill/juggling/tricks he can do make my jaw drop. lets hope he's gonna be able to do it with his feet and not just a keypad......in 11 years time for the only team worth lacing a pair of boots for !!!

The dragon 32 was uber-boss, my dad basically ran his business off one, and me and my brothers got to play on it in the evenings! Back in the days when gameplay was all that counted!

Apprently it is being remade, or so i heard a few months ago

I know this is completely random like, but how [Poor language removed] annoying are some games and computer AI .

The game specifically in question is pro evolution soccer 08 on the pc. I play as everton in the master league, and to be honest on hardest difficulty unless i have an off game i tend to win or draw.

But some times, on the odd occasion the computer AI decides it will be nice to me and make things as stupidly hard as possible, this tends to be big games.

ok put this into perspective, i played liverpool in the league x2 and beat them both times, in the cup they score in the first minute with a cracking 40 yard shot. then i absolutely battered them but couldnt score, with anichebe hitting over from inside the 6 yard box, hitting the post x2, and 2 blatant penalties not given.

then my keeper decides to throw out, right into their path and they score..

i have also noticed when the computer is being a ****, passes go wrong, fouls when you dont even press a button are given and they tend to skip through your team easily..

this was again the case a few mins ago against juventus, it just pisses me off because i want a fair game, ok make the computer more competitive etc but dont reduce my skills in the process and make me do silly mistakes !!

Also anyone who has played it, have you noticed if your team is tired and you dont do a sub, whenever you have a corner, your man tends to head it into his own net???

I do like these games, but the "computer control aspect" is evil, and more prevelant these days. There hasn't been a decent "true" footie game since goal/kick off 2 on the amiga. Dino Dini and co. at Anco really knew how to translate footie on the pc.

Tbh i fear the worst. Anything that is being remade after this length of time and by a different company doesn't have good prospects imo, especially if they try and be all flash and 3d. There's a couple demos tho so i'm gonna try it out and hope for the best. Actually broke a couple joysticks playing the original!
