Next time they try to tell you that about VVD, remind them that in the 1st 4 PL games of the season, including VVD starting front and centre, they conceded 11 goals. When he left the pitch following his unfortunate accident in the Derby, we scored 2, and it took them another 14 games to concede the additional 9.

With VVD:
11 in 4 (Sep 12th to Oct 4th)

Without VVD:
11 in 15 (Oct 17th to January 21st)

I said to them. You were top of the league at Xmas even Spitter has said you can’t use VVDs injury as an excuse. Carragher saying that (they know how biased he is) makes their argument pointless.

It’s a lie that been spun so often that it’s become true, so much so I think the Liverpool players believe it. Every time u turn on or read sport media it’s all about Liverpool has sooo many injuries and they are crap because of no VVD. That team only missed VVD and Fabinho and that’s there best team but they span it so much it like Mane/Salah/TAA and Robertson was also missing

As Carragher said they had 10 CL winners on the pitch at the start of the game
