I love the guy, he is a player who will never let you down. Will always give 100% and has enough ability to scare the **** out defenders while getting beter and better defensively. Some of the positioning has been spot like the back post header against City and to block Giroud in the 6 yard box.

Brilliant again today, man of the match for me. Who'd have thought at the start of the season he'd be in for a seriously good shout of player of the season?

I would have thought that, haha! It's great to see him getting a good run at right back and proving that he is more than capable going forward and defending. Baines is a quality player and has done the business for years, but Coleman has been better/more effective than him in recent weeks. No doubt Baines is still the better player, but Seamie is closing the gap with every game and is becoming just as important to the way Everton play. Next season should see him really come into his own, especially if he and Mirallas can stay injury free and the two can build up an understanding.

Let's be fair though. Baines is on a different level to Seamus both offensively and defensively. Only time I've seen Baines really bothered this year was against Walker who was given 20 yards of grass to run into to build up a head of steam each time the ball came to our left hand side. Seamus gives his all but he will make errors and is a tad clumsy at times and he's got away with a few things at times, I've noticed. I'm not knocking him, but I wouldn't put him in the same sentence as Baines.

Baines got bummed by Senderos at one point today and Fulham nearly scored from it.

Seamus was better than Baines today and was against Sunderland too.

Honestly so boss.

There was one point where one of their players nearly went through on goal and Coleman sprinted over like a cheetah and just blocked him off with Distin-like strength. A year ago he'd have either not read the danger or got himself sent off with a stupid tackle. He's improved so much.

He's quick off the mark and provides very good cover for the CBs. His defensive positioning has improved with each game as well but I'm just as impressed with his improvement going forward, at least from last season. In the past, you'd see him running down blind alleys with the ball, with no real plan about what to do with it and losing it fairly often. Now though, he seems to have a better understanding of when to lay off a ball, when to go down the outside, cut inside etc. which means he loses the ball less in attacking positions. He does still lose it like but that mostly comes with trying to take a defender on, in relatively safe areas. Crossing occasionally wayward as well but I'd probably rank it about the same as someone like Pienaar's tbh.

How about that Naismith lad?

Gah, not the N-word.

Defo. Baines is world class, There's no sensible comparison to be made. Coleman is vastly improved though and makes very few errors. Less than others in that team now I'd say.

Defo this. He's well more disciplined these days. Knows when to stop and go sideways or back if it's not on.

His dribbling doesn't look as awkward as it used to.... or maybe I've just gotten use to it! :)

Great game yet again!

He's bosser than boss.

Seamus Coleman (Everton). No defender has more assists than Seamus Coleman in the Premier League this season (5).
