This is where we've missed Hibbert to provide an alternative and to give him.a breather. Bringing someone in the summer to push him is an absolute must imo. I think he's been poor and it's a lot of things like you mention. I've lost count of the amount of balls he seems to be bottling going in for when it's a 50-50. If it's a blip well its a bloody long one. I wouldn't be surprised to see him being the one who leaves this summer tbh. Still a quality player, love the lad but something just isn't right with him. Saying that it's not just him, it's been about 6 of them which is why we are in this bloody mess of a PL season
Frustrating yesterday macca, they all upped their levels and it produced a decent performance and result but Seamus looked to be the one still struggling, its a shame as he does still give his all,and he seems a great lad and all that but as you say generally all season its been a nightmare one for him.

You're right there Dario, his confidence has taken a right battering. I commented late on yesterday that last seasons Seamus would have had a field day in that 2nd half. I see him and Lennon becoming a potent partnership when he gets his mojo back, the signs were there yesterday.

Even on an average day he's usually one of our best players. discussing full backs on the Baines thread, if teams are targeting our full backs then keep them at home a bit and stop playing 2 holding, means we see slightly less of seamus but team looks well balanced.

hope so blue,if he can get his form back he adds another dimension to us.

You know that time Gibson floated an exquisite ball into the box with the outside of his boot?

It was brought down and laid off to Kone by the man we had furthest forward and the only Everton player in the box.

Kone's rasping shot was well saved by the goalie.

Was Baines ignoring his manager's instructions to "hold back" at that stage?
Yes. Sometimes, the right way is unavoidable.
