Seen this word used a lot in the Everton forum… never been quite sure how it’s pronounced. Got me thinking that there must be other words that people pronounce in different ways too .. such as Bath, is it like Math or Garth… or even spaff ?

Any others you can think of ?

Hi per bow lee is correct. Don't confuse regional accents such as pronunciation of Bath though. I work in Borlton to the locals, Bolton to the rest of us. My former father in law was from Sussex, he had sorlt on his chips. Likewise he visited Barth. On that matter some of our brethren live in Liverpewel.
We might know how to pronounce a word but accents may interfere, which is contibutes to the richness of our language in my opinion.

I'd forgive you all of that and more, but what's with the country and western stuff? And what's the gag with mr billionaires own personal spitfire?

Maybe a 12 month apprenticeship for them Dallas Cheerleaders down Bramley Moore Dock way would melt a few cold hearts... ?
