Portsmouth started with 7 straight defeats in 09/10 season. They did rally but comfortably finished bottom with a points deduction for administration. Think they're still only premier league club to go into admin.

Good bit of positivity that after the first two games mate

Yeah, I think its mostly my pessimism of the likes of Luton, Wolves and Sheffield combined with the glimmer of hope of the other 88 minutes against Fulham.

I see five points there, draws at home to Wolves, away at Sheff Utd and beating Luton.

If we can’t beat Fulham and wolves at home this season we might as well sell up before the window and play the youth team for the remaining games. Luton also a must win.
Luton and wolves both clubs are way off the pace this season

For me Sheffield United is a must win.

Depends on what happens v Wolves but don't win that and suddenly even 2 points from opening 4 games is a poor return.

If you can't beat Sheffield United away then who will you beat away from home (apart from the odd Brighton result where everything clicks on the day).

Burnley and Luton will be tougher matches to win away when playing them than Sheffield United.

I'd be looking for 8 points and in the circumstances that would be an excellent return but even that only puts the team on point a game ratio which indicates already this season is just morphing into last year.
