Not advocating him out, but was astounded by his body language and demeanour today.

Literally couldn’t look less arsed, or willing to gee the team up if he tried
That's just the way he is who knows what he says in the dressing room. In answer to the wider question. He gets this season for me, chopping and changing absolutely will not instantly improve this squad we need to build. But he needs to show he can change and achieve a European place if not then he will be moved on for a coach who can use the players.

I’m talking about his overall remit mate, not today in isolation.

If I think he’ll see his three years out - yes.

Do I think he’ll get another contract at the end of it - no.

He’s here to serve a purpose, unless he can prove otherwise.
I can see what you are saying, but I don't see the logic in letting it drift for 2 years, he has steadied it I agree but his first season done that, now it we don't get a grip we are going to fall back again.

Why wuld Moshiri fire him if we get where we were last season (and we will)?

He wants PL repsectability while he tilts for a stadium build. And firing him and getting his successor will cost another £20M.
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want to move into that stadium with team that’s just finished 10th

Probably true. The biggest problem is the top players want to play for the top clubs. A Barcelona will get more for their 60 million than an Everton would. The disparity in the attraction of a club skews the value of money spent. So being 8th highest spenders in Europe won’t automatically translate into being among the top 10, or 20, best clubs.

Look at the players brought in; Iwobi, Walcott (Arsenal squad players), Gylfi (Spurs squad player), Kean (Juve squad player), Keane, Schneiderlin (Man U squad players). It’s very difficult to close the gap only attracting players who cannot get into the top sides.

The same applies to the manager...top managers only want to manage top clubs.

The task for Brands is much more difficult than is being made out.
Disagree on that point. The snobby ones won't want to do that but managers tend to go for the paycheck. Look at Pep, City weren't exactly the global powerhouse they are today when he came in, same with Klopp. Klopp is getting MASSIVELY paid to be at Liverpool and he's earned his money.

Dont usually fall for the bait but

Sigurdsson got 4 goals in his first season with us, he got 13 last season, the most he has ever got in a premier league season.
Richarlison got 5 in his season at Watford & 13 last season.
You look at the likes of Keane, DCL & Pickford........all better players now than they were when he came in.
You could also argue his ability to resurrect careers such as Gomes, Digne, Bernard & Mina
Look at Zouma at Chelsea right now compared to how he looked at the end of last season

Absolute garbage your comments mate

Sigurdsson got 11 goals for a relegation side like Swansea. So for him to score 13 goals for Everton is to be expected as he's surround by better players.

Richarlison was a regular goalscorer for Watford until he became unhappy there.

Zouma was always a good player and was a mainstay of Chelsea's defence until his awful injury.

I'm standing by my statement as the evidence you've provided is merely hopeful at best.

He’s been brought into to stabilise the mess left by others and hopefully provide a springboard for us to move forwards.

If he can do better than this, he’ll get another contract, if not he’ll still get to see our his contract here ( barring a relegation position) and someone else of a higher standing will be sought.

Allardyce stabilised us.

he got binned off no questions asked.

why should silva have all this money and time when he very obviously isn't up to premier league standard.
