How much more time should Silva be given?

Board getting an easy ride here.

On the plus side, the penny appears to have dropped with Moshiri. He surely realises that every decision he’s make so far has been catastrophically bad (and yes, that includes sacking Martinez...).

...so at least we’re not looking at Moyes or some other knee jerk calamity..

But enough is enough now. This can’t go on.

Silva is going nowhere.

Any stories in the paper are likely to be mischief making. I'd suggest we have far bigger problems than the manager.

The club is infected with mediocrity. Until the main driver of that is removed and Brands (if indeed he is the right man) is allowed to sweep out the old boys network we will remain a 7th to 17th club.

And that starts at board level. Too many hangers on and not enough ruthlessness. We need people in with proper business acumen and know how to get the job done. That's how football is these days (unfortunately)....businesses. The successful ones operate with forward planning and thinking whereas we seem to be rudderless and without direction. Clueless from top down I'm sorry to say

Is there any ounce of a plan here? Considering we played slightly better yesterday, does that mean Silva has nowbought himself some more time? Or does an unlucky defeat now get him the sack when a dismal home loss to Norwich didn't? Just seems a total mess.
Given our record in the Derby, for what it's worth, we may as well put Ferguson in charge for Weds - it will at least make things a little more entertaining. With Silva we all know the likelihood is either a hammering or a narrow backs to the wall, VAR inspired defeat.

No idea. Think we’ve left it too late now.

Unless we get in a top manager, which we almost certainly won’t, don’t see the point in a Moyes or a Benitez.

I would imagine he'll be given until next Saturdays game. Then, depending on how we did against Liverpool and Chelsea, I feel a decision will be made. I just hope we get the new appointment right this time. We got Martinez who relegated the Club he was with, Koeman who didn't have the ambition to stick with Southampton and finish what he started (I think he got them into Europe(?)), and Marco Silva who went to pieces as soon as he found out we were interested in him.

It's a ploy to leave him in charge through xmas accumulating inevitable losses so the long term plan - the return of the Moyesiah - is justified by the need for a miracle worker.
