Its the wages... Di Maria and Falcao have 200k contracts and I don't think Lambert and Lallana have that. That's why Man City were able to sign so many good players without champions league too.

Nope

Wages are a factor but those two players mentioned would go nowhere near Liverpool FC, Remember they had Suarez on 200k a week so its not beyond them is it?

Did they only put him on that knowing he was off though to maximise the fee. Then he fancied an Italian and the rest is history.

I doubt they would bring a new player in on wages like that.
 
Falcao is undoubtedly a superb player, but again its in a position where they don't really need anyone, unless RVP is going to get a much smaller role. Crazy amount of cash being chucked at things by Utd.

They could easily pay someone 200k a week, Easily

The fact is they can not attract top level players

Its all about Money. Suarez was on nowere near £200k a week at Liverpool. He is not even on that at Barcelona.

This whole situation just proves how great a manager SAF really was that he was able to get the best out of some average players.
