How stupid are Manu?

They'll end up finishing third.

The amount of firepower in that side is ridiculous, and with Di Maria they've finally injected some much-needed pace.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say the title is between three now. I Know it was only QPR but united will get better and better, that midfield and forward line was class. oh and falcao 'off the bench'.

because they beat QPR 4-0 ?

Before the season started i had Utd challenging, due to the fact they had no european schedule. Just baffled by some people thinking that Utd are now genuine titles contenders because they thrashed a pathetic QPR. Only 2 weeks ago you were probably pissing yourself at that performance at Burnley. Can't understand the sudden change in the mindset of many...

Lets wait and see how they perform over the next couple of months.

Just wait on a bit, see how they perform against Chelsea, RS, Arsenal, Man city and us or Spurs. Then judge. Admittedly the little I seen they looked good but QPR were wide open.

What was very clear yesterday; as has been the case for a while now, is how very wank Johnny Evans is. Good grief.

How many times does this lad under-hit passes ?

Nope but Spurs don't have world class players like Di Maria and Falcao in their side so I guess the media aren't going to sell newspapers by hyping up Adebayor and Paulinho. Plus, it's Spurs - they always flatter to deceive, year in, year out.

The thing is, if you support a football club that have just brought in the likes of Herrera, Blind, Di Maria, Falcao when after we've been watching a team managed by David Moyes, Valencia hoofing it into the box at every opportunity and Cleverley/the useless Mop we bought from you falling over in midfield, week-in, week-out, for most of a season - you're gonna be pretty damn excited now.

Things are looking up again for United supporters - but there's still a lot of work to be done.

When Di Maria gets the ball, he just seemed to lift the whole crowd, its clear they needed this.

He is a top 5 player on the planet. Really stepped up his game to another level from that step-over diving tart he was 3 years ago.

I posted this in the other thread:

Got very drunk watching the United game, didn't originally plan to! I was happy with the performance, Daley Blind is going to prove such an important player - it's so nice having a midfield again!

Di Maria is immense and will get better. I am not going to read too much into the result as it's against QPR but at least we played positive football, it's been a long time.

Buzzing at the moment, so much excitement surrounding the club now - still think 4th is a realistic target, we won't get near the league title - it's too soon. I hope we can pip Liverpool or Arsenal (or Everton) to it (Chelsea and City will make the top 2 with ease).

I still think, hand on heart, we'll fail to make the top 4 though.
He did look good, just tidied up everything and quickly turned defence into attack by providing the outlet to the defenders and with one touch passed it to one of the "flair" players to do their thing.

He also provides cover at LB and CB, two weak points in your squad after the summer departures and knows how to play as a wingback. With Carrick having ankle surgery in mid July and none of your other midfielders really impressing in defensive midfield, why on earth did Woodward leave it so long to sign him?
