How to cure a cold

If you're on antibiotics for a cold, you've got a problem

Regular drinks of hot water with some lemon and honey in it.

Clear your nose by steam - either from a hot shower or leaning over a bowl of steaming water. Hot compresses over your sinuses also work.

Mentholated salve, not sure it does anything for you but will mean that everyone stays well clear of you so they don't catch it

I pick up on the very early symptoms of a cold and can head it off at the pass with 2 paracetamols every 4 hours, fresh lemon, grapefruit and/or orange juice, a couple of cloves of raw garlic, some raw ginger root (squeezed) and some fresh hot chilli.
It works nearly every time.
For suppression of symptoms, psuedoephidrene was excellent but we cannot get that in NZ anymore because it's the major precursor of methamphetamine .
Phenylephrine (which replaced psuedoephidrene) is a poor substitute

Aren't antibiotics for bacterial issues? A cold is a virus. That said, vitamin C to prevent colds and zinc to stop it

He's faking it! Any man knows a cold is an ideal time to "self medicate" with booze.

Anything is self-medicated with booze. My aunt and uncle just put their Airedale
Terrier down. Time to get drunk.
