i'm not so sure about that, they did pick that out and say that on the commentary but what the feck do they know. Howard was reaching over a few players to punch so a catch was far from straight forward. Play the percentages and punch unless you are sure you can catch it without dramas

Top quality keepers seem to be thin on the ground. Arsenal and Manchester both have the cash to afford the best keepers, but can't get one. The ones they are playing are not setting the world alite.
We had a couple of good years out of Howard and he is not playing as confidently as he once was. It is such an important position, the replacement has to be a good one. I see names thrown about the place, but I am still not convinced by many of them.
I think Everton will be keeping Tim Howard as first choice for another season or two yet, even if the fans don't like it.

My point with Howard is that with many, he just can't win. If he punches, he should have caught. If he caught it, he should have punched it. If he hoofs it out, he should have passed it. If he jumped, he should have stood his ground, and if he stood his ground, he should have jumped.
You get my drift.
Some people havent just mindless bashed him over the Years, ive always said hes decent, I just feel, this Season at least, theres a lot more mistakes creeping in, hes not doing basic stuff well.
Its not like everybody is just slating him for the sake of it.
