Just wanted to say i saw marked improvement in his preforemnce yesterday. Was the first game in a long time i remember him not making a gaff that could have led to a goal.
Well done.

The punch out from a short cross What should of been a simple catch , We got of lucky from that resulting passage of city play without conceding
Norwich goal aside, I think he's been on better form of late, actually.
i'm not so sure about that, they did pick that out and say that on the commentary but what the feck do they know. Howard was reaching over a few players to punch so a catch was far from straight forward. Play the percentages and punch unless you are sure you can catch it without dramas

top post kidWhy does a golaie need competition? What competition did Schmeichel have? Southall? Seaman? Clemence? Buffon? Cassillas?
Howard just isn't very good.
I love fans who criticize a keeper for punching instead of catching from the vantage point of their TV. Nice.
They don't ever consider what the keeper sees from his vantage point or what might cause him to punch instead of catch.
But hey, it's an easy game.
I couldnt sit nearer to him every other week for 45minutes, does that mean I can assess him better than most?
My point with Howard is that with many, he just can't win. If he punches, he should have caught. If he caught it, he should have punched it. If he hoofs it out, he should have passed it. If he jumped, he should have stood his ground, and if he stood his ground, he should have jumped.
You get my drift.
