Has the makings of a classic this; and isn't it a relief that the distractions of play in some no-mark European competition can be cast aside and the footballing world's eyes can again concentrate on Merseyside's blue team, in a game of real relevance .
Two teams brimming with confidence and talent should provide a cracker of a game here. Predicting a score is difficult but the likelihood of goals aplenty is assured.
Personally, I can't wait until kick-off. I'm like a little kid at Blue Chrimbo, counting the sleeps down until the big day!
