Listened in to Bobble's podcast before. He is insisting Everton aren't in any kind of contact for Ekitike. He said that he was on our list at one point but this is just his intermediaries using French media to drum up interest in their client.

Be interested to see what happens with this one. Spurs need a new striker. West Ham need a new striker and both have money burning holes in their pockets.

Ya I reckon the club were in for him.and Chimiti but the later won out as a signing

Yes last season didn’t go to plan. Maupay was a bad buy and it was compounded by DCL being injured for yet another season. Hindsight is a great thing but when he got himself fit at the back end of Lampard’s first season who would have thought that he’d miss the entirety of the next season?

Im not defending what the club have done but some people are acting like we’ve not got a single striker on the books and Thelwell’s done nothing about it for 18 months.

First of all he’s only been here for three windows (12 months) and in that time we’ve bought Maupay, thought we’d secured Danjuma before Lampard was fired, then did get Danjuma, is now closing on Chermiti also.

Thelwell’s mistake so far was that Maupay was a bad buy to play the lone striker role by himself. It’s not his fault though when the options in the squad are continuously unavailable to the manager

The FFP position has meant we can’t just bin off an asset like DCL. We literally can’t afford to and we can’t afford to buy in a first choice of his quality, and a second, and a third. Again we can all go over the backstory of this but Thelwell arrived within these constraints.

Your opinion and that's fair enough but your strong defence in Thelwell is a load of nonsense for me..

Dutch international? 6 caps at the age of 26 with one cap last year and hasn't featured since is not a dutch international.

And in regards to leading the line for Villareal in the Champions League semi's lol, I guess others prefer to see him as the person that rejected us this year for another team and fail miserably. You would think Thelwell would be offended by this but no, he decided to go back for him. Crazy the lengths people would go to defend him

I'm afraid he is a Dutch international. If you don't win a cap every year they don't take the rest away.

For anybody who's confused as to what's happening on this, I Just seen this on the Twits👇

"Everton don sight Hugo ekitike and dem like am. Dem talk say dem dey yarn and dem wan borrow am and if dem fit allow make dem buy am e go sweet.
The every every of the parole dem never talk, dem still dey yarn with psg and the bros himself"

Well that's cleared that up. ;)
