I didn't see this posted.

I'm trying not to giggle over the ridiculous price tag. Overpriced. And who thinks we have this money? Oh, and from goal.com (snigger) but looks first to be from The Mirror:

Report: Everton eyes £10m move for Wigan's Hugo Rodallega
David Moyes plotting summer bid for 25-year-old Colombian, who is viewed as a solution to the club's attacking problems, but price tag may drop if Latics go down

Everton is lining up a summer move for Wigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega, according to The Mirror.

The Blues' current forwards have struggled to find the net on a regular basis this season, while Louis Saha has been dogged by injury problems, and boss David Moyes sees the 25-year-old as the solution to the club's goal scoring woes.

Saha is the only player to reach double figures this term but has struggled for fitness throughout his career, while teammates James Vaughan and Yakubu Aiyegbeni are out on loan and look surplus to requirements.

Colombian international Rodallega has just one year left on his contract at the DW Stadium and is thought to be available for around £10 million.

The move will depend on the Toffees' budget this summer and on Wigan’s Premier League status.

The former Necaxa man is set to leave whatever league the Latics are in, but relegation could see a drop in the £10m (€11.5m) price tag.

Fellow attacker Charles N’Zogbia also looks set to leave Roberto Martinez’s side as the club look to gain financial security.

The Lancashire outfit is fighting to secure its Premier League status for a seventh consecutive season while Everton is undefeated in seven and on the tail of rivals Liverpool, which sits sixth.

I used to love the summers

We're gonna see that line a lot. Currently it stands at nothing from what we hear.

A Yak swap deal is more likely than throwing 10m for a player who has scored 8 goals this season, with a year left on his contract. I'm still not totally convinced on him too. Take away that wonder goal against Villa and then think about him, would he be that good? I'm not sure

I like him,

They bought him for £4m and he has a year left on his contract.

£5.5m tops, if we were to go for it.

£10 million?

Trololololol.

They're probably going down this time, though, so you can half that. Although I'd rather get the Zog.

£4m plus Anichebe.

I would be relly happy this this, the lads a very good player, with bags more potential, i dont see him as an out and out forward more an inside left or right, but can play the main role if needed, he would complement Beck as well. Can provide assits, score and is very good with free kicks and set peices. Would complement a main man perfectly. I know Wenger is a big fan, while Bruce brought him over to England so Arsenal and Sunderland would be in the mix as well.

I am all for the Anichebe and cash option to bring in Rodallega. Proven goal scorers in the Prem is what we need and Rodallega fits the bill. I like Wigan's coach, but if it takes Wigan being relegated for us to get Rodallega then I all for it.

The only issue I have with Rodallega is that he is similar to a lot of the strikers we already have, patchy periods of good form and long periods of nothing. I would welcome his signing in a Beckford, give the lad a chance way.

It would be a decent signing.

Can't help but wish that Moyes gambles a bit more and we were in for someone that stirred the blood more. Who knows, maye one of the kids will turn out special?

He normally goes for strikers proven in the english game as they usually cost so much so Rodallega would fit the bill.

I wonder if he'll be tempted to go in for Owen. (lets hope not)

Better chance of Owen going to MLS than playing for us. I am looking forward to what his brochure will say. Always got a kick out of that. For those of you who don't remember I am sure you can find the Micheal Owen brochure online somewhere.
