I think Barry needs a rest, surely?

Would have been nice to have Ross and Besic in the middle, then Naismith in his proper position and even Oviedo could have played out wide. So little width, again. Unnecessary out of position players. And a tired Barry playing yet again.

Well prolly if McCarthy was fit he might have had a rest.

But it wouldnt be a Bobby team without abar 6 players out of position.

It means we want you to do the match threads not Chico that was a great match preview that you did.

Thank you and thanks to all those guys who ticked it. Essentially it was a Happy New Message. I am in now way competent to do previews as Chico does them, I do not have his or others on here their depth of knowledge of all the teams and players around at home and abroad.

But for today I really hope we can put behind us the latter half of 2014 and look forward. I just want us to win, don't care if it is 1-0 or 5-4 as long as we win and get 3 points.

COYB.

Imagine if Garbutt went Liverpool though. To replace the £16m left back they've just bought who's der best in der werld. LOL the transfer committee would love that!

Lets have a positive match thread today lads.

Lets all channel positive energy through our screens and lets use it to power the boys in Royal Blue to victory against the mighty tigers from Hull.

DO IT FOR MUME LADS

Not commenting as pre match you are attacked for speaking the truth but:

seeing your record £28 million point signing benched again due to not playing to his strengths.

Seeing Barkley out WIDE AGAIN

seeing Garbutt out the squad

seeing Barry getting a game every week despite awful form

I'm convinced more than ever he's lost the plot.

got a feeling we'll win today but it will be massively papering over the cracks

No chance, Besic would be on the bench if James was back I think. Barry plays every minute he can, which is worrying.

Just seems odd to persist with out of position players when you don't have to. What's the actual point of Atsu? Why can't Oviedo get a game? Either option has to be worth a try as Naismith and Ross are awful out wide.

Ive watched the entire squad this season, not 1 of them have played well.

Seems strange to pick on Barry IMO.
They have all played poorly some worse than others, but Barry along with McGeady have been really really bad, If I had a pound for every misplaced pass he has hit this season I'd have £347
