alright lads..
i never do this, but i had to come and pay my respects to the BLUE half of liverpool.
I was terrified before this match as for the most part you lot have had our number.
im chuffed we got a result, and that we may..just may win the league..
i was a season ticket holder at maine road and have seen the worst of us and now due to no fault of mine, see the best of us..
i did feel that my club had got away from this rough arse working class lad, but now i enjoy it, if it was not us, it would have been someone else ..

but i always felt parallels with everton being in the shadow of the red side of our towns..

but with all due respect, for nothing more than the fact that liverpool fans had been lining the streets over the park singing were gonna win the league, which was pure arrogance, i would love to now stick it to them..

Echo everyone else saying don't blow it now but I've gotta say mate you don't play like champs.

You smother teams using a squad of good players coughing along at 80% their quality proving just enough, until someone runs at you (Wigan and Liverpool spring to mind).

Still not convinced you have it done mate. Praying the arrogant lepers from across the park drop points at Palace you lot in a last day head to head with them fills me with dread.

We absolutely did not allow City to win that game today.

Let the kopites cry and claim conspiracy, it's what they're best at. We had nothing to play for so of course the atmosphere was subdued. It's not our responsibility to bail them out of the sh*t, they have nobody to blame but themselves if City win the league now.

What's hilarious is how pathetically cringey they were all being before the kick-off. Tweeting stuff like #MerseysideUnited and #BlueNoseForTheDay. Eff off you morons, we're not your friends and never will be. When we play, we play for ourselves. No one else. City won today because they were better than us. Both sides were poor I thought, just we were more poor than them.

Every kopite is like this tonight and I, quite frankly, am laughing about it.

You know if we went out and got tonked 5-1 then if I was in their position I'd probably say the same stuff. But we played well, we were better then them or at least deserved a draw DESPITE BEING KNACKERED. The 1st goal city scored was bogus, it was a clear pen.

ha, can't promise everton fans would be any different given the same circumstances ha. we sing we're going to win the league when beating swansea away in early september. we sure as hell would be sporting and dignified about it though, after all it's all just a passionate game at the end of the day. no ringing up hotels throughout the night and claiming a team that was better than us parked a combine harvester and a new everton lawnmower in front of their goal.

anyway, all the best mate, don't slip up, pardon the pun. villa won't be easy because they're an odd team and play better in those type of games, but city are definitely more tolerable than chelsea and the RS, even if i do love mourinho.

Yes but I think he was referring to them lining the streets waving flags and waiting for the team bus to arrive .....for a home match FFS - a victory parade with 4 weeks still to go.

Second half city let themselves down a bit with some of their antics, but I for one like many thousands at the game today wanted city to win today. Just absolutely loved the Gerrard song (class)

Firstly well done, best side won yesterday, no complaints on that score.
Secondly - Dzeko, 2 goals (the difference, a towering header and a tap in) but have a word like - BBC decided to avoid it all together but, yeah the stakes are high but that's too much...

Anyway more to the point I'm through with the petty jealousy lark - other teams have lots of money too from owners and CL money - we've got to get to that level and get some silver too - and at least the trophy looks like it's going a few miles further east than it might have and for that I am mightily relieved.
