The reason I put Hotel California is because it is WAY overplayed and if quite annoying now!
It's a decent enough song Dylan, but your right, i've also heard it once too often.
The Eagles, oh my goodness, next you will be playing Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
You can say that about the Eagles but still have a thing for the tennis playing arse, what kind of man are you ffs...........................leave him Halo, you've sufficient groundes for divorce here my love
I love much of the Eagles' work - The Last Resort is a particular fave - sorry Latch, still doesn't get us past Cliff, country, and all the others that should've gone to the moon
'Batchelor Boy' eh !
I'm fighting a losing battle here CT,
How about 'Dire Straits' ?, 'Brothers in Arms' is ine of my all time fav songs,
Do you think that bit of information will give me some respect back !
As for Country & Western music, i am absolutley hooked on it, the old stuff mostly, although some of the modern singers/groups get an airing sometimes.
I'm opening myself up to all kind of wisecracks ( but i'm big and ugly enough to ignore it ) here but every song tells a story.
That's the thing about C&W, it's straight from the heart, everybody can relate to them, the songs can sometimes, scratch that, nearly always, be sentimental and 'down', be it your wife's run away, your dogs been run over, your wife's come back but i love it.
They always sound better after a few jars though, drink sometimes makes me 'emotional' hence my 'I love you lads' posts from time to time, and when i'm in that kind of mood C&W becomes even more profound.
It's my artistic nature i think.
