I remember a few months ago, when certain posters were laughing...

I do have a tendency to agree with the Damon on occasions!

I just think saying Swansea are better than us is a little daft as the season hasn't finished and everyone knows he second season for promoted clubs is the hardest.

True, but i find it incredibly frustrating that Swansea are capable of playing the lower sides and beating them, something which we seem to struggle with. We certainly have the players good enough to play good football on the deck. Moyes' current tactics work well against the top sides at home, and have for the last couple of seasons but he needs to realise that you can't just play the same way against every team and expect to win.

Swansea are proof that you can win games simply by using good tactics and playing good football, without spending a load on top players. That's my point realy.

When hes done that, I will be impressed, untill then, hes just another no mark.

Two more examples there of the point I made. Thanks roydo.

How did Brendan Rogers do at Reading?

No probs. There are loads of examples of flavour of the month managers, and I suppose when DM was appointed, he was it at the time; happened to work out ok. Note, ok. I dont see games live, other than TV, so cannot carry any of the authority that guys who do go week in week out can re tactics/subs/ruining forwards, etc etc, but in my life time, other than HK, the team appears to be relatively stable, and half decent. Now the off field issues, thats a different matter.........

As somebody else in the thread has said :

Ian
Halloway

*Checks where Blackpool are in the Prem Table*

Hardly comparable.

Holloway played balls to the wall all out attacking football and didn't have the defence to back that up. Rogers has Swansea playing a nice, controlled passing game but they also don't over commit players like Holloway did.

Blackpool at the same point last season:

Blackpool P29 GD -15 PTS 32
Swansea P29 GD 0 PTS 39
