Big news that big sam resign from bolton going to man city next season.
I wonder was moyes approached as well. I'm shock that big sam decides to leave just like that and at this current stage of the season where they are fighting for uefa slot. He left with an unfinish task and to me, it left a very bad taste.

Back to moyes, if he was indeed approached, I'm glad he didn't leave just because of the millions at city next season due to the take over.

It's good news nevertheless, as bolton will crumble next season without big sam and we have one less team to worry about next season. As for big sam at man city, success won't happen overnite and it'll be another 2 or 3 seasons before they stabilise and threaten us.

he isnt there yet, he hasnt been given a budget yet, will he be allowed to raid his old club for players like nolan, jaaskalinen, campo, ben haim, speed?

hopefully pearce will get an assistant post somewhere under a fully fledged manager or might drop a league or two to learn his trade.

If city could attract investor, I really don't understand why it can't happen to us. Surely we have a team with better future compare to them, our team have better prospect and talent too. We have less debt than they do. What is it that makes them more attractive than us?
If we had 20 million transfer budget for next season, we will have a chance of making champions league.
Whereas a 20 million budget for city will prevent them from relegation or maybe uefa qualification the most.

Not clear at all why he wants to go to City, just when he is certain to have got BW into europe, very strange. But in the wind about a takeover there. Also in the wind of a takeover of the Saints by Microsoft co-founder.

he could yet go to toon, they spend regular and pay upper scale wages, if its true - anelka is going to juventus (i said anelka would move - his brothers(also his agents) need new ferraris regular) bolton tried to sign johnno, campo could be spain bound, the ben haim - chelsea thing pissed sam off.

i believe sam took bolton as far as anyone could, without big investment and a significantly raised profile bolton will continue to struggle for players and to keep the better ones they have - sam realised this and is looking at stepping up to the next level.

He has quite a bit more money than Roman Abramovich, and if the Seahawks are a benchmark, he will be quite liberal with his wallet. We need to get him onboard with us now!!!

no chelsea syndrome for me thanks...

you put your money in
you take your money out
in out in out
you [Poor language removed] the fans about

abramovich is in the papers daily, al fayed cut fulham loose for real spending, the toon board hold utter contempt for their fans, this summer is the acid test for man ure, will arsenal sell out to the american - wengers kids havnt cut it, the [Poor language removed] have spent and not won the league - acid test for them this summer too.

I wonder how many sides will be sporting new sponsors next season, if mr second in command at microsoft buys someone - can he write off the shirt sponsor as a corporate cost?

I wonder what the tax on 50mill is.

I don't really mind if someone REALLY RICH comes onboard. Look, it's all about money these days. At the end of the day we can't really compete if other teams splash 20 million every summer. Teams like Portsmouth, spurs, villa, and city will overtake us with their fat wallet. As long as someone is RICH enough to sustain just like how chelski benefit it's fine with me!

Thing is, Paul Allen would run it correctly, rather than just plowing money aimlessly into players. I would much rather have him onboard than a questionable Russian billionaire.

sevilla seem to be doing alright.

players not bank account - a triumph for the game.

It's about us, not seville. I'm glad that they did well. But honestly, do you really think we can win the league with a annual transfer budget of 5 million?

How much did ferguson spend on neville, scholes, butt, giggs, beckham? whilst also letting savage, dublin, gillespie, and may go?

There are good players out there, arsenal let upson, bentley and sidwell go.

A club doesnt have to spend galacticos money to achieve.

Man Utd rise to greatness will be an isolated case. They have half a dozen talented youngster breaking into the first team at the same time. And all of them made big impact to the team.
Tell me honestly, do you think we can have players of butt, 2 x neville, giggs, beckham, scholes and gillispie(all these went on to form the core team of the successful man utd era) calibre coming from out youth rank within the next 3 season? If we can't produce, the natural thing is to buy, if we can't afford to buy, be prepare to stay stagnant while watching other teams improve. When Man Utd can't produce another keane, what did they do? they splash on carrick. When they can't find another beckham from the youth team, what did they do? they splash on ronaldo as well. It's all about money in this league.

Even moyes admit his job could be made easier if he had the funds of thoes rich clubs so I don't know what is there to argue here.
