Why? Even a kid who is born abroad but moves here with his family at 3 months old?
Personally i'm not bothered either way really. We already have numerous types of differing id so if it was to get rid of driving licenses, passports etc and have them all combined in 1 card that would be a good idea but would cost god knows how much.
I really cant see them being of any major benefit other that making money by charging for them and making them compulsory then whacking fines on for people without them.
We have such a high percentage of illegal immigrants in this country we must try and identify them them forcing their return to the country of origin. If some one is here legally fine by me but when they flout the law then that is another matter. I have nothing at all to hide, nothing to be ashamed of and would welcome there introduction any day. What I am sick and tired of is the likes of Liberty protesting about this without ever offering an alternative other than on going illegal immigration and never send anyone home. We are an island and are rapidly reaching 'sorry full up' stage. Environmentally. economically we can not take any more illegals otherwise our own population will suffocate.
