It feels so weird having a complete midfield. It wins games. Bringing in a sure thing in Gana was a good move for the short term. Hopefully we have an understudy ready when his battery inevitably runs out.

I’d hope Onana moves back there. I k ow we’re playing him as an 8 at the moment but I’m not sure he’s got the passing game to be a box to box midfielder. He’s played well in the past sat in front of the back 4 so maybe he’ll move there whenever Gana slows down.

….you will see my posts in recent weeks saying how surprisingly firm the pitches are at FF. Very little give in them at all, I’m surprised we don’t see more joint injuries, I’d hate those surfaces myself.

They are designed to replicate Goodison in terms of surface & size but I have always said the surfaces players use on a daily basis should be more sympathetic.
