The season was always a stepping stone as Brands, Silva, me and a lot of other posters said before it began.

His only chance is a radical overhaul of the squad, including players who our fans (wrongly) perceive to be our best players.

Unless he completely changes the midfield then he has no chance here. These players won't battle for him and will get him sacked. To suggest we couldn't cope selling Gueye is crazy. He hasn't performed all season. He has played like a player who wants a move this month. He hasn't won a tackle in weeks. We should sell for a good price. It's not even a debate.

Its actually hilarious if it wasnt so sad...what next, Coleman off for £20mil and some posters wanting to keep him due to 'good service'

Boca said Barrios and Nandez can leave. Rather have the latter.

Im still gutted we didnt move on Torreira and at least try and compete with Arsenal...thats the benchmark for me now

Could have been sorted a while ago and anything is holding these moves. I don't think Brands is daft enough to not have a replacement.

I'd have my doubts, tbh, but maybe it'd help switch to a 4-3-3... dunno.

The argument for not selling him is mainly that out of our five CMs he's one of the two half-decent ones (relatively), and is nowhere close to the highest paid of the five either.

We need another midfielder as it is, on top of Gana and Gomes. Selling Gana just means we need two, in the middle of the season.

My feelings on Dominic are clear and I will leave it there, R9 ? Yeah he’s young but I am getting to the end of my tether with Silva and seeing as he’s R9’s father in footy I don’t see him doing well if he goes. Also he has a lot of flaws which are very bad and 45m is lookong rather expensive now. If we got a decent offer I wouldn’t care if he went .

£33mil base fee...21 years old....Brazil international and well liked over there plus will hit a decent amount for us in a poor side.

Next season he will come into his own.

How so? He was injured then has to adjust in a team devoid of confidence...first season in the prem...i think next season we will see the best of him.

He does look like hes got a Roy Keane type screw loose thats for sure...

I think he would put the fear into opposition playmakers that hed break a leg.

We need a bit of steel in the centre and throw a foot in to get the crowd going. I genuinely think it'll be a blessing in disguise Gueye going. I prefer the Barry type of DM anyway who is positionaly disciplined, so if we sign Barrios and he is that style I'll be happy.
