Sounds very much like he wants a wage packet that is beyond us.
There’s no doubt he would do a job for us for two years but there has to be a point where financially we have to draw the line. Between the fee and his wages this is the sort of “cheap” deal that ends up being 20m for two years, and obviously there’s no sell on value.

With Onana in we should maybe be considering whether that amount of budget needs to go on another midfielder or if it would be better off going onto the budget for a quality permanent forward, and maybe just using a loan for the midfield.

He has already had a medical according to various reliable sources so that translated report looks like made up bollox tbh. Tends to happen when things have gone a bit quiet. I still think this will go through very soon.

Don't really care either way if this happens or not. He would improve the midfield, but not a priority signing for me and not a long term option.
I agree. If we are playing a midfield 2, I think we will manage okay with our new boy, Doucoure and Iwobi with Davies maybe getting on a few times.
If Frank ditches his favoured formation, then we have a problem but I can't see that as Frank obviously wants that to work as we just loaned a defender who's immense in a 3 central defender line up but struggles in a 2.
If this fails but we still get a forward who can play across the front three, I'd still think this has been a good transfer window. Gana would be a brilliant bonus though.

We should be smart here. I like Gueye, but I think he is a nice to have not a need to have. Onana, Iwobi, Doucoure and Allan could hold down the 2 spots in a 5-2-3. Plus we can possibly loan Gilmour.

Gueye only makes sense if it is the right deal. If the deal becomes too expensive or the term is too long then we should walk.

Defo sounds like a "I want more money" from either PSG or Everton.

Sounds like Gana wants the move but we'll likely be trying to get him as cheap as possible.

Makes sense to drag oot negotiations if PSG aint budging they'll not want to keep him likewise when he does sign he'll slot right in and wont need a few weeks like Onana likely will to get adjusted.

What source are we basing this off? Is that the same translation that said we have the rope on this file?
