I still can't get the Ndiaye cross that Beto nodded onto the corner flag in a cup game earlier this season at Goodison. It's been haunting me ever since. It was a real beaut.
….the bonus with crosses like them from Young and Gueye is them being in the position to make the cross, the fact the RB was on the end of this one shows a real desire from defensive players to do something for the cause.
I think he's actually getting better.

I'll bet you a pound to a pinch of nutmeg Moyes is in his ear saying use your physicality the exact same as he was with Lescott. Didn't Lescott get 10 goals in a season for us? Thing is big strong defenders that score headers often are a bit of a premium commodity.
Big Jake will get the plaudits today but this wee man was head & shoulders our best player today.....Again.

So much of what Gana does is grunt work that’s unheralded during match commentary. But all he does is track down balls, intercept passes, be disruptive, and secure the ball even when he’s outnumbered 3:1. He’s brilliant.

Don't think there's any doubt he's well worth another 12 months unless he's demanding two years which may be an issue.
He definitely wasn’t as good a footballer the first time around.

He's one of our best players this century. He might even be the best. It's certainly worth considering. I'll just always love him and what he's done. I think with a little more luck he goes down as one of the best ball winners ever full stop. For me he is, but circumstances and team success will never have him seen as such generally. Phenomenal player.
….this isn’t something new, i think he was Lyon’s 2nd top scorer from CB. Playing RB allows his more scope to get in attacking positions from open play.
