I wasn't really going anywhere with it. I didn't expect this to rub anybody up the wrong way, it is just an opinion and I read many things more outland-ish than that. I agree with most of what you say but football and loyalty aren't mutually exclusive and you cannot believe anything said by players.

There’s not a chance a player of his quality didn’t have better offers after leaving PSG.

Even now he can probably take the big money in Saudi but wants to be here.

Can just tell by the way he plays how much it means to him. Not many players you can say that about but I think Gana is sincere.

Some actually do "get the club" and feel at home here . This lad has been superb for us in the most difficult of circumstances and could have jumped ship for a far easier life than here.
But he hasn't , he looks a far better player since he came back from PSG .
As for loyalty EVERY player will look for the better options , but he has shown his kids are born here , he loves the club , not very often but it does happen, that is why he is so highly regarded.
Actually I see the same in Pickford and even Ndiaye.
His stats are of the charts even at his age long may it continue.

Not getting the "waiting to be mathematically safe to talk about contracts"...we do not want other teams outside of the pl to agree a pre contract with him. Independently if we are a pl club or not, he has to be part of the squad next year. I am sure as part of the contract you can agree an amount depending if we are pl club or not...

I very much doubt, gana, dcl or doucoure will getting better deals elsewhere, apart from Saudi. I’m not bothered about DCL or doucoure, but I hope gana stays

When he was at PSG he was dragging their galacticos to the tv when Everton were on. He was also regularly texting our players throughout his time there. His loyalty is genuine.
