Simply, I don't trust them to spend it wisely. Save it for the summer and sack them both.

It's harsh to sack a manager that was given 2m to spend. 2m in footballing terms generally gets you nothing. Maybe something for the future with sell on potential. We cannot afford to wait that long for a turnaround in form. Benny managed to get in 3 players and got some change! I am pretty sure that we would get more than 1.7m for Gray now?

He needs enough financial freedom to sink or swim.

I vote, let him spend.

He's stated that he wanted Gray, and brought in Townsend. Despite them being somewhat subpar in the last couple of games, they fight for him.

Brands with any deal terrifies me.

Rondon and Begovic were nothing more than stop gaps, which I expected nothing from, but still they've been hugely shocking.

If he wants Benitez to do something and if he managed to last until January then he should be giving him every single penny he had got.

Employing him whilst not being able to give him money to improve the squad (and very limited options at the club already) is utter madness.
