If International sides were club sides, which would they be?

Holland would be Arsenal. Have played some tremendous stuff throughout the years, but not won that much to show for.

Was thinking this. Definitely up there with the "big boys" and are a very, very talented team but haven't won much of note in recent years.

And England = Leeds. Quite a few fans who live off the glory days of the 60s. Fans stereotyped to be knuckle-dragging, skin-headed, tattooed hooligans. Infamous and have a lot of history but the past few years have shown a tendency to **** up. Humiliated and embarrased me many times over the years. Still, the love I have for both is still copious, if not unconditional.

Everton is USA. A crapload of injuries + just when you think they are finished they pull you back in.

Mexico is Spurs (pre 09-10 Spurs). They play alot of pretty stuff but are putrid at keeper and are soft in the back.

England is Leeds. I can't think of a better analogy.

Wigan is Costa Rica - they don't really care how many goals they give up as long as they stay in the prem (of the WC).

Portsmouth is North Korea: nobody knows whos in charge, where these players came from and who is even getting paid.

Man City is Portugal. A bunch of high priced talent that hasn't won anything.

Rep.of Ireland = newcastle crap one year good the next without ever wining anything and counting success as qualifing for the odd final/tournament
