If Silva is sacked - who could/should we get?

David Moyes! Get him back!

He can stabilise the defence problem...He should learn from his past managerial experiences...He worked with pickford before..Give Moyes a chance again...He have not won anything before at Everton ....he will come back a more determined manager! He is the one who called Everton the people club...Please get him back...With financial backing now..he would make good signings...

Be careful dude I got a months ban for suggesting the above.

Mentions are wind up or people who would not touch everton with a stick (simeone etc).. I'm serious with brendan rodgers... IDK

John Aldridge has plenty of managerial experience, but Barca didnt choose him over Pep. Instead, they selected Pep as their manager without any first team managerial experience because they could tell that he was cut out for management at the top level. Same goes for Arteta.

A good shout, I hear he's not up to much these days.

Ok I’m really really annoyed with Everton and Silva that’s putting it lightly and to avoid the swear filters.
And my Heath shouts have been laughed at, not sure why more chance of that than Simeone and Mourinho or even Arteta.

My final offering is Heath as manager and Rooney as coach, until the end of the season.
Let’s get some identity and passion back.

I’ve heard it all now Lid.

I think there’d Be blue murder if that cretin got anywhere near the doorman’s job never mind manager.

I could only think of Wenger for next season. He would be a good bet even just for a single contract over three years, to start us over. Getting acceptable stability for even that time feels like winning the league now.

My inclination would be for someone younger. But Bobby Robson did a superb job at Newcastle and he was 66 when he took that job.

Low(er) risk, knows the PL inside out, good brand of football, and enough of cranky granddad attitude about him to ruffle feathers.

For me, Wenger would tick more boxes than others. I wouldn't think it outlandish either, not with Moshiri's links with Arsenal.

I don't think Brands would want a rival though and he would be one.

Are you talking about Arteta? How is Arteta a cretin? There wouldn't be any murder at all if he was appointed either.

I get what you are saying, but Barca's room for error is infinitely greater than ours. They would have sacked him soon enough if it didn't work out, and have a queue of suitors. They can pick whoever they want.

Some might say we have already run out of rope if we sack Silva. Arteta might indeed turn out to be a fine manager but we would be taking a huge risk in appointing someone with no experience. We aren't going to attract a big name/winner, but when the time comes, hindsight is telling us it has to be someone with nous and experience in management. That isn't Silva, and it isn't Arteta either.
