If The Worst Comes To The Worst

I hope we stay up as much as anyone but I don't think there's much wrong with trying to rationalise the worst if it happens.

I would be under no illusions as to the difficulties in coming back up either.

But in practical terms we have been an also-ran for a long time. We've done largely nothing for more than three decades.

I'm not going to burst into tears if we become a championship club. In my eyes that's been coming and if it happens, I'll do an Everton detox for the summer and come back ready for the fray in July.

Goodison´s last season in the Championship.

And we aint getting out of it anytime soon either.

Staying up is the better option
I don’t think staying up is an option anymore mate. Think the damage is done. Look at this season and we’ve played some bad teams and couldn’t beat them. We are awful and would need about 6-7 players to rescue us.

If relegation does happen, i've decided i'm going to crack on and make the best of it. The Championship is a good proper old fashioned league, we'll be playing some good old fashioned proper clubs as well.

Obviously i hope we stay up, but there's enough problems for me to worry about without stressing about whether Everton go down or not. If it happens it happens. As a club we've been circling the drain since 1987. So this was always on the cards.

Relegation might finally rid of us of Kenwright and Moshiri, and who knows we might come back up within a season or two. We could be down in the lower leagues for twenty years and beyond as well, but Everton will continue to be here that's the main thing.

I think as long as Everton are winning and playing good football, we'll still get some enjoyment out of it irrespective of what division we find ourselves in.
My thoughts exactly.....I'll be able to stretch out in the North Stand and have a kip at half time with all those empty seats.

Might take monopoly in case we're getting battered by Wycombe for example.

It’s gonna be painful when people realise this squad exactly as it is would be about the 14th best team in the Championship.

As soon as we are relegated I'll be looking at the 68 match season (that's how many teams are in the Championship right?) and working out who we will get our 12 wins from to avoid getting relegated to League 1.

This will be the Everton side next season

Was chatting with somebody who works at Fleetwood last night. Warrington won’t be ready for championship football next season in his opinion. But he did say he’s improving.

I strongly doubt these players will be moved on.
