The fans derailed that appointment because he was an absolute clown who had done nothing for years and only got an interview because he was the only name in Bill’s black book not crossed out underneath “Moyes” and “Martinez”. The sheer laziness and lack of ambition left us with a shortlist of Perreira and a woefully inadequate Frank Lampard.
