Ignore a thread

Is it possible to ignore a thread without ignoring the person who started it? Seems that's the only way presently.

I do think someone asked a few month's ago like and it required quite a bit of designated programming. It doesn't work as well on my 'phone because I cant get it fine enough yet, but I place my monitor on the table, mask over the good threads and then obscure the offending ones with blitzed sawdust, remove tape, and move the sawdust up/down with a ruler as time goes on. Before I had saved up for a coffee grinder for the wood, I used to increase the size of the font to suit. I prefer finer dust, but the other way works a treat mate.

There's an add-on to do this, but not enough people have bought mugs so I doubt @GrandOldTeam has bought it.

It's important we do saddle the forum with too many add ons - I'm not convinced this one would be particularly useful?

I'll have a look over the weekend on implications of adding it.
