International breaks and the winter break

It's completely useless. They have too many games anyway. If they reduced the number of games by half it would be somewhat acceptable.

hate the idea of both separately but a winter break coinciding with the AFCON wouldn't be the worst thing in the world as the AFCON can't move due to temperature reasons.

'They' / FIFA, would be better served getting AFCON to fall in with the rest of the footballing world and play every 4 years same time as the Euros

Not the best time of year to play the AFCON - nigh on impossible in fact. As irritating as the international breaks are it's just a part of the football calendar. The fume is tremendous...one weekend without Prem or Championship. Boo Hoo!

I would prefer a straight knock-out qualifier. Groups of either 4, 8 or 16 depending how many teams you want in the Finals (seeded if FIFA want, either way) and then play a round every few weeks. Winners qualify and runners up play off or something. Got to be more entertaining than the league format designed to minimise the effect of shock results.

Every game counts so it becomes a hell of a lot more entertaining with less games needed.

It's not a fume about breaks it's my opinion of how thing need/may/might/could/should go...sorta.

Football; for better or worse is big business now and that will be the driving factor via the European clubs. If the political will and money is there it will - and should ( only of course in my opinion ) happen. All the Countries involved have properly run 'professional' set ups. Unless there's serious personal safety or medical eg. ziko etc.

If the world Cup can be played in the Persian Gulf heat??? - and yes I am aware of rainy seasons.

anyway at the minimum shift it to 4 yrs...what was the original reason for 2 yrs ? maybe to give African players more chance to play against the best players. As back then there weren't too many playing abroad.

The Euporean Championship, African Championship, South American Championship and Asian Championship etc should be the qualification for the World Cup. Do well in your own Championship you get a spot in the World Cup. One st of qualifications does both.
