I watched the RS match in the boozer today, wearing my new away jersey, surrounded by RS. Smug grin throughout.

Alas old pops is no longer around to ask. But knowing Dixie Dean, more than likely. The old fellah saw all the great players before the war. After the war he started a family and with work commitments never really got the chance to see many games after that. But he was an avid BBC radio 2 listener for all the games from a young man to the day he died in 2010.
