just watched this, first of all racism is pretty shocking in this day and age but i think it is caused mainly by the majority of brain-dead people that live in this country who think it is funny or cool. obviously it is nowhere near apparent in this country than in others and although people say the terry and suarez affairs shouldn't have dragged on, it was good to see that our society did actually care. it's just a shame how it was dealt with after by liverpool which was terribly appalling. i would like to think that if we had a player at everton (no matter how much we paid for him) who had acted the way he did, he would be shipped as soon as possible and never play for our club again.
anyway, the main point i'd like to make was about the asian players (i.e. indian, pakistan or bangladesh), the main reason why we haven't seen virtually any asian footballers is probably due to the fact they're simply not good enough, not due to the lack of opportunities. It is obvious that cricket is their main sport, and even if they weren't being given a fair chance at the sport in britain, in their home country if the talent was there, they would be proving it domestically and internationally. when have we seen any of these country's come close to qualifying for a world cup...exactly. as for the boy boasting about his scoring record, there was a boy in my brother's league who broke michael owen's welsh league scoring record a few years back, he was given a trial at bristol rovers and didn't make the grade - sometimes youth stats can count for ****.
