Let's not forget that without modern oil derived medicines ⅔of them would probably have naturally died before their protests.

But I do agree that any Government that claims to take climate change seriously should be subsidising and investing in research and development of cleaner energy, public transport infrastructure, energy storage and the like with a degree of urgency rather than subsidising the fossil fuel industry with billions of pounds.

"But none of that makes money NOW for investments in my lifetime and for my mates in business" is how most governments think. Sadly. The farsighted governments died out with the Regan and Thatcher era.

It's a travesty. Won't somebody stand up for all the glorious patriots in their tainted Ingerlund tight fitting shirts getting triggered by coloured cotton and Badboy Ben Shapiro.
Where can they go? What can they do? And will they need sandwiches?

Reading back ... I feel the need to clarify that Regan and Thatcher were the ones to embrace shirt termism. What I writted could be interpreted as me suggesting they were the last ones to look ahead. This is not my view.

I would like to apologise for any misunderstandings I may have caused.

I shall now go outside and have myself shot.

Is that the farsighted government that privatised our oil, as opposed to Norway, who invested the profits into a sovereign fund (the biggest in the world) now worth 1,375 billion dollars - that one ?
